***TW TMI NAPPY PHOTO*** Blood in nappy

LO is 6 months old and over the past week on and off has had some blood in their nappy. Some days nothing, same days nearly every nappy has some in. Went to GP earlier in the week; they don't seem concerned, not too sure on why and to give it 2 weeks to monitor.
Anyone else had similar experience with an actual outcome? Looking online there is nothing obviously conclusive however an allergy is possible? Worried mum here, not sure whether to give it the weekend and get another appointment on Monday either way. LO is fine in themselves and feeding as normal. TIA

That looks like Ds's nappy used to. Bit green etc. Used to get bits of mucousy blood. They told us that it was because things were going though him a bit quickly and so weren't being digested quite as they should. I think immature bowel was the term they used for him. It sorted itself out eventually but if he got a virus or an upset stomach it would do the same thing again. Itw asn't anything sinister. It might be something he's eating that doesn't agree with him or he might have had a wee tummy bug. As far as they were concerned with my DS as long as he was eating and chirpy and keeping weight on it was fine.

Have they had any new foods introduced? We had this but since birth rather than 6 months old and it is an allergy to soya and dairy. Definitely take pictures so that you have a record and keep an eye on if there any patterns.

the other things that can cause blood in poo is constipation if they have slightly damaged whilst pooing and then there is blood each time they poop until it heals.

Thanks for the replies, it's much appreciated. LO had had a cold and cough and Dr said that could be virus.
I had thought it was maybe something to do with solids as we had started on just a couple of bits here and there but nothing since we first noticed the blood so I don't think it would be that now.
I've noticed at times they are straining a bit so possibly slight constipation. Me and DH were a bit worried as the blood looked "mixed in" rather than fresh IYSWIM.
I'm combi feeding - if it is an intolerance to something would that be through breastfeeding?

@newmumma32 for us it was a non ige (ie delayed response) allergy to the proteins that remain in breastmilk but I don’t know if that’s something that can start when older. My DD was poorly with it since birth. I had to do a food diary to see if there were any patterns or triggers so could be worth doing that just to see. But if you haven’t eaten anything new as far as I understand it, I think it’s less likely to be an allergic reaction.

Thanks @GrowBabyGrow I'm so unsure of what's going on but that makes sense. Nothing that I can think of has changed and it's so sporadic I can't see any pattern at all. It all seems v random. I'm taking photos as and when to be able to show the gp
