Books about death that aren't about grief?

DS is 4 and has started asking a lot of questions about death. I've been trying to answer his questions in an honest and age appropriate way, but I don't think I'm doing a very good job as he just seems to be getting a bit distressed about it all. I've looked for books to help as he loves reading but they all seem to be about helping with bereavements, and as he's not actually lost anyone yet I was hoping to just stick with more gentle facts for now.
Does anyone have any recommendations of anything that could help please?

What about Goodbye Mog? Yes, it’s about a cat not a human, but it seemed to help my 4-year old explore the idea of death and ask questions in a less loaded way.

Same book, more details... Does sound pretty on the money for you.

Reading the reviews, it would seem that being 4 and having a lot of questions/worries about death are quite a common theme. 😁

I really like the book 'No matter ehat' by Debbie Gliori. It's a picture book with lovely words and I know pretty much all of it by heart because my son used to love it. And example 'but what about when we're dead and gone?' 'Would you love me then? Does love go on?' 'Large held small tight and snug as they looked out at the dark, in the moon in the sky and the stars shining bright. Small, look at the stars how they shine and glow, but some of those stars died a long time ago. Still they shine in the evening skies. Love, like starlight never dies '

Thank you very much everyone for the suggestions. It doesn't help that he asked his very religious grandma before we could give her the heads up, so he keeps talking about going to see Jesus 😬
