Owlet sock pattern ?!

Hey everyone, I just need some reassurance right now. I'm on the verge of hospital but my health visitor is telling me otherwise.

My son has a owlet sock as he was born at 36+3 weeks and needed oxygen and it frightened the life out of me so I purchased that. Since birth his numbers on the graph have always been pretty much straight and lowest it's ever been was 96% highest 100% then the past 4 days since the heat has started and since him starting new milk that's actually anti reflux milk it's made him a lot worse with his reflux , however since all this he keeps having big dips in his sock graph. Lowest being 90% highest 98-99% first it was 95 next day dropped to 92 next day 90. It's becoming a pattern when he's asleep for it to drop. Now I know it's not dropping before the mark they wouldn't like it to be but I can't help but feel a feeling of why it's dropping all of a sudden why is this pattern accuring? It's stressing me out! My hv said it's normal range so going to hospital I'll be sat there hours with 4 children ( it's the holidays) for them to send me home because there machine will say his oxygens fine this is on a night time. Could it be the reflux? He's been horrendous wit tummy ache and acid at the moment since changing to SMA anti reflux it's made him worse and back to having his acid attacks ?

No idea the reason for the changes. Is the owlet a medical device? If not, just stop using it, this stress and worry can't be helpful. You've had advise from the HV and only you know whether that's sufficient for you or you'll go to the hospital anyway. Advise from strangers on the internet really shouldn't trump medical advise you've already received.

@Boopbeepbeepboop I understand , I just wanted to know if anyone has the same problem with the Sock as I hear reflux can make it do that sometime

I haven't had that problem with the sock I mean if your worried bring them to hospital or gp if nothing else but to put your mind at ease . I'm neurotic about the temperature at the moment with my 6 week old so as well as the owlet sock and camera I have a fan on in the room she is sleeping in all night directed away from her obviously

I have the owlet as DS2 was premature (3 months on oxygen). When he was discharged from NICU he was still having oxygen dips as he was having problems with his swallow. When attached to the oxygen machines at the hospital he was dipping when swallowing vitamins and occasionally when having milk when he gulped too much, but because he always self-corrected the doctors weren't concerned. This pattern was replicated on the owlet. So it wouldn't surprise me if it was the reflux. But as long as he's not staying low for a prolonged period then it's unlikely that anyone medical will be concerned, even if they do accept the data from the owlet. DS2 was recently in hospital and so connected permanently to monitors and his oxygen was lower overnight, which is apparently normal for everyone, and ideally they wanted him above 92 but accepted above 90.

@Merrow hi! Yes my boy is now in hospital the owlet showed me a pattern and I took it and went to the hospital. While been asleep they monitored his oxygen as this is the only time it dips and it dipped to 88 so they've put him on oxygen and keeping him in for the night x

Sorry to hear he's in hospital, I hope you're all coping ok with the experience. It's great that your concerns were listened to, and sounds like he's in the best place.
