3 year old breathing

My daughter is 3 and has always sounded congested for as long as I can remember she’s had her chest listened to by the doctors when I’ve been for other things and it’s always been clear, but now I’m starting to think it’s more up her nose.
Shes not struggling to breath and it doesn’t stop her doing things but she always sounds so loud and snores quite loud to. Is this normal? I was going to ring the doctors in the morning but don’t even know what I would say 🤷🏼‍♀️

Polyps? She may be mouth breathing and that's why she snores at night.

A congested sounding, too loud voice can also indicate a hearing problem but that's not related to the snoring.

Similar to my 3yr old, I took them to the GP when I realised they were mouth breathing and snoring more often than they weren't. We got an appointment within 5 weeks with ENT.

For context, my other child has been on the waiting list for ENT since February with no appointment offered yet. So I'd take them to get checked out!

could be large tonsils and/or adenoids. Does she stop breathing when asleep for a few seconds and then do a big snore / gasp and resume again?

@Yourethebeerthief I did wonder that, her auntie had polyps when she was younger and had them removed at 6.
we went to the doctors yesterday she had a look in her nose and in her mouth but every thing looked normal. She’s wrote a letter to the paediatrician to see if there’s any testing they can do for her age.

Equally could be allergies.

We have an appointment in a few weeks with ENT, her paediatrician said they may want to put a camera down her throat to take a look
