C section incision suddenly swollen and sore after 5 weeks

I’ve been healing super well from C section and pretty much back to myself after 2 weeks. Incision healing well and barely raised…

yesterday my baby was crying and I needed
to do some housework / get tea ready for older child so I put him in baby bjorn carrier for about an hour. All fine (no pain, just a bit of backache)

today I put him in carrier again to sort house as we had people come to viewing it as we are trying to sell. This time it felt too much so I took it off after about twenty minutes.

However my section wound is now Swollen like a pouch and feels sore.

have I messed up my healing and recovery ?

I thought after 5 weeks, we were pretty much in the clear to resume as normal again. I’m so sad :😞 I was doing so well and now my body looks awful and lumpy and I feel back to
how I did the week after again.

Sadly something very similar happened to me and it was an infection. The go said it can happen at any point in recovery but I think I pushed myself too soon.

I’d keep an eye on it, if there’s any redness, swelling,
hot to touch and/ or pain then I would contact your gp to get it to get checked.
You might need to rest for a few days, you’re doing well and feeling fit but remember your body has been through a lot.

@Wiggleroomm How did the rest of your recovery go? I am just over 5 weeks post c section and I was doing really, really well but the last two days or so my scar is super tender and I’m feeling pain again when bending and can feel band of pyjamas/trousers etc hurting around it too whereas that had stopped. I know I could have pushed myself but this is my third baby and I have two other small children, a dog and house to look after whilst partner is out at work all day so don’t have a choice except to get on with it.
