Really struggling with my 15 month old

She's currently in a phase (well I'm hoping it's a phase) of just whining/getting upset all day. She's not happy with anything I put on TV, she's getting frustrated really easily, when I'm making her food she's always at my feet whining/crying wanting to be picked up, if I take something I don't want her to have off her it's like it's the end of the world and she will fling herself about and start screaming. Shes not been great with her food today either and seems to be becoming a little picky.
I am finding it so hard, she's been like it for the last couple of months and progressively getting worse but this week has been the worst she's been I'd say. I'm on my own with her all day as DH works mon-fri and listening to her whining all the time is really getting me down now.
Will this ease off any time soon or will she be like this for a while? I am a FTM so everything is new to me.

Hi OP
the mardy phases are the worst! Is she walking yet? Mine always used to go through a really grumpy phase before a milestone e.g crawling, walking x

Hey, yes she's walking, has been since just after she turned one.
She has always been quite a laid back baby and always happy, she's just not anymore :(

I agree it's a hard age. Do you manage to get out to any baby clubs or classes to keep them busy?

I try and get out with her as much as I can but it is hard finding the time and energy when trying to keep on top of washing/housework/weekly shop. I try and take her for walks and soft play etc as she is happy when out and about.
No baby classes though, I find them really intimidating going on my own and don't have any friends to go with.

@uxie when they go through tricky stages I must admit I found it hard to let the housework slide etc but it did save my sanity.
Could you leave that until the weekends?
Hopefully now the weather is better you'll find it easier to keep them busy and wear them out

I had a Manduca carrier that was great when dealing with clingyness when I was cooking or hoovering or whatever. I just had little one on my back and she was much calmer there. And lots of outdoors time helped too.

Baby carrier definitely helped me when my dd was going through her clingy phase. I also find giving her kitchen utensils like wooden spoons, plastic spatulas, tupperware etc kept her occupied while I was making her tea!
