Son refuses to wear pants to/at childminder's house

ds2 is a little over two and a half. I have just tried introducing the idea of toilet training as ds1 was about this age when he started. Last week we went out together to buy pants and a potty. He did brilliantly over the weekend in his pants. We had a few accidents on Saturday but by Sunday he was telling us when he needed to go and was sitting on the toilet. On Monday morning he refused to wear pants to the childminder's house (where he spends 4 days of the week) and she said he refused to put any on all day. He just wanted to be in his nappy. Is this a sign he's not really ready? How can I persuade him to wear them? Should I just leave it a bit longer? I have just let him stay in nappies all week as I am conscious that this shouldn't become a battle. But how do I get him back in pants again?

dont make a fuss just let him be. As a CM I had 2 LO's who insisted I fed them way after they were feeding themselves at home.

It drove their parents mad but we just ignored it until one day they just started feeding themselves and I just sat and chatted to them.

I think if we had made it a big deal it would have developed into something big.
