Itching toddler

Im getting desperate. My son is under a dermatologist and allergist already - next appointments are January. Has multiple food allergies (anaphylactic) and we avoid all foods that he’s allergic too. And he has eczema- not even severe eczema just on elbows, knees, ankles etc

However he itches his feet and wrists 24/7, he will not stop itching to the point he makes himself bleed and actually creates a rash that wasn’t there sometimes. He’s got all the steroids and moisturisers which I use as instructed. Has baths with no perfumed soap in, just what he is prescribed and even sleeps in special gloves now. But this does not stop the itching, he is up all night itching - so we are up all night trying to stop him. Has anyone had something similar? I will try anything to help him as he is so uncomfortable.

He is also on antihistamine daily now which doesn’t even help it. He is 1 year old so explaining to him to stop itching doesn’t work

Hi, have you considered the possibility that the itching could be every day stuff around the house. Most laundry products contain allot of toxic chemicals. Fragrances are some of the worst irritants and are becoming increasingly strong, causing allot of illness in children. Try going totally fragrance free if you can and that includes air fresheners and anything else. Our family was getting loads of allergies and headaches until we got rid of these horrible products. Its not easy to do these days as everything seems mega fragranced but it has made a massive difference to us, so could be worth a go. Good luck and hope he gets better.
