Toddler sleep and heat

The heat is getting ridiculous in DS 2 room. He's in a nappy with a thin sheet (sheet isn't over him right now) tossing and turning from the heat.

Window is open and it is cooling down in there. He has a fan but it is so loud - im not joking ... its actually ridiculous how loud this thing is.

He slept just in shorts last night with a thin sheet but tonight is struggling and I know its just supposed to get hotter and hotter.

I need links to silent (ish) fans that don't cost the earth or are the size of a tank.

Anyone?

One thing you can do is freeze a large bottle of water and put it in front of the fan (on a tray to collect drips), and then as the fan blows the air round it it's cooler. You probably don't want that cold air blowing on him while he sleeps but it might help to cool the room down a bit before bed.

Also are you doing what you can during the day to prevent the room heating up too much (shutting out the sun etc).

Thank you! I have heard about the frozen bottles so I'll give that a go during the day.

I think so - blinds are down to block the sun during the day. It just gets so hot still at the moment.
