She's shoving everything in her mouth right now...the dog has just stolen her soft toy, I got it back from him...can I give it back to her?!

(PFB can you tell?!)

wash it first if u want.

she'll probaly grab the dogs tail and chew on it soon though.

I'm watching this one with interest...

My DS is due in May and I have a feeling the dog will pay more than a passing interst in his toys!!!

I'd imagine, as long as the dog hasn't done anything TOO bad with it and your DD isn't under the weather, it should be fine....

My son eats the dogs tail on a daily basis now, and he is 9 months old. His fav game is chase the dog toy round the front room, and show no interest in his toys!

I used to rinse it under the tap when he was really little, the dog seemed to learn fairly quickly which toys were his!

MuffinMclay · 08/04/2008 21:16

No, it is good for their resistance etc

lilymolly · 08/04/2008 21:20

maybe just run under the tap?
or just give it back to him
Thats what I did with dd

Caz10 · 09/04/2008 20:37

It has gone back to her! That was my 1st reaction then I thought maybe I was being minging...

riven that thought makes me shudder more than anything, I am TERRIFIED of spiders!!

ds is 10 months old (also a pfb!) and has been thieving things from the puppy for most of that time (and vice versa). i do keep him away from the puppy's balls etc which he is constantly trying to put in his mouth. i dont worry too much if the dog grabs his stuff, just take it off the puppy and give it back.
before long your dd will be climbing all over the dog a hundred times a day anyway and you will be powerless to prevent them cheerfully exchanging germs. hopefully with any luck by that stage your dog will have learnt to run away from approaching baby and then will have less opportunity to nick her toys....

woodstock3 · 09/04/2008 21:54

sorry hasten to say i meant puppy's balls as in the rubber kind you throw to the end of the garden...not the other kind...

LOL thank you woodstock..was about to go to bed feeling very miserable as DD has horrible rotavirus and I read your double entendre and it made me laugh in a very immature snickering fashion ~hehe~
