Second hand Bugaboo Donkey fan here. Have friends who also like Uppababy Vista or Cybex Gazelle if you prefer one in front of other. Mine love holding hands so sit side by side facing me. Fits through almost all doorways and has great weight limits.

I had a baby jogger gt double and it is a great buggy but tbh I found it quite heavy and difficult to get in and out the car. If it’s just got pavement walking and round the park a bit ie. Not tough Terran, I would just look into the side by side joie, nothing fancy or special but cheap, well built and does the jog for day to day. My mum had this at hers for my two and I eventually stole it and sold the baby jogger.

second hand bugaboo donkey, there are so many being sold second hand in really good condition, I'd never buy a new one.

I had twins and used a out n about nipper throughout but if I had my time again I'd get both - and both second hand

Mountain Buggy Duet. Lightweight, you can add a carrycot for newborn, side by side but fits through all single doors and on all buses easily.

We bought ours second hand for £200 and sold it for £150 so cost us hardly anything.

I originally had my heart set on the Baby Jogger but went to a local pram shop to try some out and ended up going for the Ickle Bubba Venus Prime - approx £300 brand new and includes a carrycot, rain cover and two footmuffs which would all cost a fortune if paying for a more expensive make. We’ve been really pleased with it and cannot fault it, it’s slightly wider than some of the pricier options but not so much that it’s caused any issues for us.

I could have written this post a few months ago as I was toying between investing in a bugaboo duo or Cybex gazelle when pregnant with my second - for a 2 year old and newborn.

I ended up instead getting a buggy board to clip onto the pram for my two year old? And she loves it. I was apprehensive before I purchased, but I'm really glad now I didn't bother with the double buggy, if that helps any.

She was about 2.5 though when baby was born.

I've got a second hand out n about nipper double and I love it. 18 month age gap and we still use it now my eldest has just turned 3. Even if we don't need it for her we still take it for the 18 month old and stick all our bags/snacks/picnic in the other side so we don't have to carry it!
I paid £120 and plan to sell for £100

Does anyone remember that thread on here where the op came looking for buggy recommendations, no one responded but a couple of years later she responded to herself thinking it was another poster saying which buggy she had brought for herself 😂😂

EmmasDilemmas · 12/06/2024 18:39

I tried a few and much prefer the narrow side by side ones so nipper, baby jogger, etc. Buy second hand if you can and sell when done.

Yes I love that thread!

I loved the mountain buggy duet I bought secondhand. Amazing size basket was my favourite bit. And not as wide as you think it will be. Easily fit through internal doorways and on buses etc.

I came to recommend the baby jogger gt. I got mine second hand for less than £200. Then sold for £120 after 3 years of solid use. It was an absolute workhorse

Sorry I should have mentioned, we have a cybex baby seat that I plan on using so it’d need to be compatible?

I also have no idea what’s better, side by side or the “stacked” buggy’s?

Don't know about that. I never did the car seat attached to buggy frame thing. That will limit your options. I liked the side by side so they could see each other.

glasshalfsomething · 13/06/2024 08:20

Defo side by side. I got a free stackable when mines were 18months and hated how low to the ground the ‘bottom’ one was.
I got bassinet fixings rather than car seat fixings for the babyjogger. Didn’t miss putting the car seat on but know there’s a few adaptors so worth a google

I had a 14 months and 18weeks pregnant
