Autistic Ds screen time

He's off school atm with EBSA - due to start a specialist school in September. He is addicted to his ipad, it's his special interest, he makes games and is bloody brilliant at it, he has to have breaks throughout the day but I need an app that will boot him off Roblox/kids YouTube at say 9pm.

Anyone know of any ?
The apple screen time didn't work because it works on you setting hours so because he had breaks throughout the day it wasn't going off when it was supposed to meaning he was getting longer on it !!

Also please anyone whose kids don't have devices please don't comment as I can't see that being very helpful.

Do you need it to switch itself off to avoid an argument? Sorry if that is a basic question, was just thinking an alarm clock and he puts it somewhere is the obvious route.

Set ‘downtime’ on the iPad so it goes off? Could he also make games using other (offline) materials so he has an alternative way to pursue his special interest when limits kick in? Thinking that may help with transitions.

Within the screen time in settings there is 'downtime' I use this for my autistic kiddo.

Thank you, does downtime lock the apps ? For example come 9pm it will just block him off and he can't get back on?
As that's what I need, he isn't purposely defiant, he's a really good lad, he just forgets and gets carried away (also being assessed for adhd) and because I have two young babies I am also prone to missing his cut off time 🤦‍♀️ no excuse I know.
