Teething hell

Hi

DD is teething like crazy; 4 months old.

I've tried everything! Nothing is pacifying her.

I've read about anbesol liquid but they won't give me as she's not 5 month old.

Any advise would be massively appreciated, we are so sleep deprived.

There are some teething powders you can get??? Can you put something cold on her gums?? I used to keep a water filled teether in the freezer, it does help. 💐💕

@shellyleppard got the powders they last the whole of a minute.

Will try something cold thank you

Are you giving nurofen at night? Everything else gives a much more temporary relief. Great for the day time but I found the only thing that worked to give us a few hours rest at night was nurofen.
Teething is tough! But it will pass.

Yeah Nurofwm is so much better for dental pain than Calpol. We found that Niro den and Dentinox gel both really helped.

BurbageBrook · 02/06/2024 07:03

Calpol or nurofen. No question about it. I certainly wouldn't want to suffer with tooth pain with no painkillers.

Sunshineclouds11 · 02/06/2024 07:35

@CadyEastman I looked for Dentinox gel yesterday but couldn't find it.

@BurbageBrook Absolutely! Nothing was hitting it for her but nurofen seems to be doing it till I can get the anbelsol liquid.
Do you alternate Calpol and nurofen?

Ah I'm so glad you had a better night.
Yes you can alternate nurofen and Calpol, with the worst teeth i definitely did that. Some babies really seem to suffer with teething pain.
I used to give a syringe before bed and then pre fill a syringe and leave it next to my bed ready for the next wake up so I didn't have to faff about measuring out in the middle of the night.

BurbageBrook · 02/06/2024 09:16

Yeah I alternate if it's really bad. Also ibuprofen isn't amazing for gut health so I usually veer towards Calpol but give nurofen if it's teething or really bad.
