Could be an allergy to something? Has he had any different food today?

Iggityziggety · 01/06/2024 15:55

Heat rash type thing? My daughter has had similar looking before but only on nappy area.

Marghogeth · 01/06/2024 15:55

Heat rash?

Jayjay08 · 01/06/2024 16:03

I thought maybe an allergy to but it started a few days ago. And yeah I also thought heat rash but wouldn’t that disappear after a while?

Have you tried giving anti histamine liquid? Then if it disappeared you would know it’s something allergy or heat rashy.

Newuser75 · 01/06/2024 16:15

I'd say viral rash or allergy.

Do you all think it’s worth a call to 111? I’m just worried I’m being dramatic if it’s something so minor 🙈

Google urticaria - I think it's a response to something, a virus possibly. So, similar to an allergic reaction.

whyamisotiredallthetime · 01/06/2024 17:11

Any pains in legs ?
Look up the symptoms of HS Purpura

longdistanceclaraclara · 01/06/2024 17:12

Looks like Uticaria to me

Elsewhere123 · 01/06/2024 17:17

Better safe than sorry. Take his temperature too. Most nasty thing raise temp.

Bringthejury1 · 01/06/2024 17:51

Mine used to get similar after having a nasty infection, but just on her tummy and back. I think they called it a "viral rash".

I would go see a doctor to be on the safe side, though. Rashes can mean all sorts, and a doctor will be able to put your mind at ease.

Don’t know if you ever found out what it was but his skin looks exactly like mine. Mine isn’t a reaction or anything it’s just how my skin has always looked. Sometimes it’s barely noticeable while other times things like extreme weather changes to really cold to really hot can make it more prominent. In my case it’s just skin and I’ve never had any bad symptoms to do with it. I do also have an Autoimmune disease which spontaneously causes urticaria and angioedema but that doesn’t have any link to the patchy skin. From my experience it looks nothing like urticaria to me, but if it was it would be so mild that you wouldn’t even need a specialist since there’s no itchiness, welts, swelling, or peeling. Which are low level symptoms of urticaria and it doesn’t become serious enough for intervention unless you start to experience symptoms of anaphylaxis. It looks to me to be Livedo reticularis which is skin condition where the blood vessels under the skin clot in microscopic levels creating the red patches which is commonly called mottled skin. In most cases it’s completed harmless and most people live there entire life not even knowing while the other times it’s usually a symptom of a connected tissue or blood vessel disorder or even medications but again it’s a completely harmless symptom of those. Some conditions that are more serious that showcase this as a symptom include sepsis, antiphospholipid syndrome, lupus, certain infections, or cholesterol emboli but I’m sure you’d know if it was any of them. If they only develop around cold weather, stress, or stimulants like alcahol or cough medicine or certain medications than that’s completely normal and nothing to worry about.
