So we went with disp nappies during the early days because I am having ongoing bf problems (we have some size 2 reusables waiting for when things get a bit easier)

They keep leaking up the back - What am I doing wrong????? Am using Pampers size 1 on a 9 and a halfpound baby

please help!

Doing nothing wrong, this happens with disposables on my son! Hence why I love my reusables. When I have to put a disp on my son I put a wrap on as well to help contain the poo! This might be worth a try for you.

I also used Disp to start with, and he always leaked - its nice...

Probably nothing just every baby has a different body shape. My DD (3 weeks old) doesn't do well with pampers but the newborn Huggies are perfect for her, I just tried some different brands to see what was best!

if your sticking with disps for a while i would 2nd putting a reusable nappy wrap over the top to help contain.

try using size 2 as they are from 6-13lbs. The bigger the nappy the more absobancy - I always use the largest size for ds's weight as they contain more and last longer. You could also use size 3 as they go from 9lbs and will be a bit bigger still.

luckily ds does not poo that much, and when the wee does leak out its not like the nappy is anywhere near saturated... so may be a body shape thing as MMH says.

thanks!
