Scared to try for baby No.2

Life is busy at the moment, working a part time job and also running a business. Not to mention just got a puppy🐶we’d agreed we was going to start trying next month, my son is 3. Is there ever a right time? I’m worried the longer I leave it, I’ll talk myself out of it and if I leave the baby/toddler stage completely I won’t want to go back.

What would be so bad about not doing it?

Why do you want a second, honestly one a done sounds good to me ( mum of 3 )

Never a right time. But I meet a lot of people who leave it “too late” (eg child 5ish) and then ask themselves “why bother?!” I am a mum of 2 with a 23 month age gap. It’s been tough but I’m glad we did it when we did. But you don’t have to have any more.

I grew up as an only child and always wished to have a brother and sister, especially now I’m older, I’ll have to go through a lot on my own as my parents get older. I understand not all siblings get along, but I’d like to think that could be the case for my son. Plus, my partner comes from a big family & really wants another. So do I, but I’m just scared due to my mental health during postpartum.

I spent my childhood wishing I was an only child. I care for our mother alone with zero help.
