Evening all,

My 15 month old all up till about 4-5 days ago was in a good nap routine/dinner routine, but for about 2 days he would only have his morning nap and point blank refusing his 2nd, I'm aware that from 15 months they can drop down to 1 nap a day but he was not handling it well and ended up super whiny.

For the last two days he's finally got back into having 2 naps but after his 2nd one he's not interested in his dinner, nor his night time milk,

He had his first dentist trip the other day and she said he's getting his back teeth in, also took him to the doctors cause I was worried.

I'm not sure what I'm doing here, or where I'm going wrong but I'm worried he's not getting enough to eat.

Is there a faze that they go through?

I just feel bad for him

Your really didn’t need a doctors trip!

Nap transitions are tough. Teething is tough.

Both together creates a clingy whinging babe. He’ll be grand again soon.

I know but he had a severe ear infection a few months ago, and he acted the same way so I explained to the dentist and she was like if you were worried get him checked out to be on the safe side.

I thought the panicking over Everything would've calmed down by now but clearly not. 😬

I think he's getting ready to move to one nap and he'll be happier once he has settled into the new pattern. I agree with @WindowViper that nap transitions are hard!

Any advice for helping him along? I feel like I'm missing his cues lately, or just trying to keep him to his old routine which doesn't look like it's working anymore.

What's he sleeping overnight?

What's he sleeping overnight?

Usually goes to sleep, 7-8pm wakes up anything from half 6 to 7am

But 3 mornings ago he was waking up 4:50, half 5

Day before yesterday 9:30 am

And yesterday and today half 6.

Did wake up screaming at 2am on the 9:30 wake up.
Told him almost an hour to calm him down and put him back down after calpol and teething gel

Okay - if he naps twice it's not a big deal, but you want to aim for 7pm bed 7am wake then nap 12-2pm when it hits 1 nap.. what time is he going down for first nap at the moment?

Mine napped 3 hours sometimes when on 1 nap too

This.
When my dd had one nap, she usually went down from 12-3. She still slept through the night (7pm - 7am).
If he takes his one nap earlier, he will be over tired by the time bedtime comes.

Agree with this.

We moved the morning nap later by 15 mins every few days till he hit 12.

It's hard getting them to last till a certain time but now the weathers getting nicer if he's flagging go in the garden for some fresh air and play.
