Large forehead/frontal bossing?

I was wondering if someone can reassure me regarding my son’s forehead. His forehead is significantly bigger than mine or my husbands was as a baby, although his doctors haven’t mentioned anything. He’s been with a few different doctors as we’ve moved countries so I’m worried they wouldn’t pick up on it.

I think he looks perfect I’m just worried as I see a lot of TikTok’s of rare disorders and I’m an overthinker (first time mum). It comes forwards slightly too. He’s 10.5 months old, crawling, cruising on furniture and can stand in one spot for a few seconds without holding on. He’s also babbling mamama, bababa, dadada, nanana. Sometimes makes a ye sound and shouts and grunts all day. He’s been clapping since 8/9 months but not pointing or waving yet.

does this all sound like normal development? And the head, normal? Thanks mummies 🥹

Hi
I think his forehead looks fine? And his little curls are so cute!

His forehead looks fine to me. My ds4 had an enlarged head and frontal bossing as a baby which the drs picked up on at the newborn check up.

He is perfect.

Get off TikTok, the algorithm is feeding you images that you don't need to see and feeding your anxiety.

He looks fine to me but frontal bossing can be caused by flat head syndrome which isn't dangerous to baby and can improve as they send less time laying down x

I’m glad tik tok wasn’t a thing when I had my kids. He looks utterly perfect and I’ve never heard of frontal bossing!

Thanks so much 🥺

I do think social media is so worrisome, especially for first time mums. We really weren’t made to consume this much information. I feel like I get past one worry and I’m fed the next.

thanks again for putting my mind at ease everyone.

I hadn't heard of it either until the paediatrician said about it. I had to Google it. Glad I'm not the only one. I find a lot of parents seen to know about things these days that only medical or childcare professionals used to know when I had my first.
