Our daughter, 16, finishes her GCSEs (with the other girls) in early June. Summer holidays of course do not start until early July. We would love some ideas for her to occupy her time in June. She is very academic, is interested in tutoring, loves books, history, some outdoor activities but not particularly sporty, art...Many thanks!

Will she be doing NCS?

Mine just chilled out, at 16 you don't need to set things up for them

Fully recommend NCS - it should be offered by the school - can go solo or with friends. In 2019 one of the 4 weeks was outward bound - not sure what the deal is now but back then I think it was £50 for the 4 weeks inc 2 weeks residential (one outward bound, the other more career/business/charity focused). Great life skills learnt.

NCS for sure.
But getting a job / working is a great way to gain skills, occupy your time, and also start earning. whether that is for driving lessons, funds at University (if that is where she is going), some other thing she fancies doing, or just generally getting some savings behind her.
