Anyone had problems with Pambers Active Fit......

Hi, my DS has always used pampers active fit but for the past 4 nights he has woken up in the morning extremely wet around his tummy. Its soaked all the way though his vest and PJ's. I know the nappy is on right and i always make sure his willy is down but cant seem to find why this is happening.

Anyone else experienced the same thing??

I have found that both of my DS's go through stages where one nappy just fits better than another, but then in a couple of months it is a different nappy again, at the moment after going through pampers, huggies, tesco's own and asda's own, DS2 is in Morrisons own (which I am very very very impressed with TBH!) but give him a couple of months and he'll be back in one of the others.

Perhaps he is ready for the next size nappies, ie bigger and able to absorb more.

Yep always had that prob with pampers

no, they fit both dsses well

i do use much bigger than the weight parameters suggest though

e.g. 8mo ds2 (24lbs) is in size 5s

Seona1973 · 02/04/2008 22:07

I use baby dry in the biggest size for ds's weight so he is in 5+ at around 29lbs.

NorthernLurker · 02/04/2008 22:08

I've never had an issue - but I've got a girl so maybe that's the difference

Harrybee · 03/04/2008 10:52

Hmm one of my friends told me to try pull ups at night as they come higher up on the waste. My DS is already in 5+ so i cant go much bigger. I am hoping to try potty training soon so maybe the pull ups are a good idea, has anyone tried this?

baby dry do size 6 so maybe try them for nighttime. I found pull ups ok for dd but she drinks a lot less than ds and I didnt find them so good for ds. Tesco do baby essentials nappies (green pack) and I found them good although they dont do the 5+ size so am using baby dry at the moment. They do a size 6 which are a bit big for ds at the moment.

bubblagirl · 03/04/2008 13:12

i find pampers ok in day time but hugis super dry in a size bigger sees my ds through night

Harrybee · 03/04/2008 13:44

Thanks Ladies, i guess its just trial & error. I have never tried Huggies as i though they were to expensive and you get less in a packet compared to pampers. Think i'll give them a go now just to see.

huggies were a bit cheaper than pampers i think or works out same price i know theres not much in it

we ususally go costco for ours 176 i think for about 18 pounds

think it was 8 pound something for a pack seperately

NoBiggy · 03/04/2008 14:36

Isn't it Huggies that are elasticated round the top? We used those for a bit to stop leakage. We change brands and types often too.

my 2.6 year old charge weasr them at night (very very heavy wetter)

we dont have that problem... they very very rarely leak

he wears size 5 / 5+ which ever we put on / purchase

Leeeza · 10/04/2008 22:30

My DS used to always use pampers active fit until we started having exactly same problem as you - all wet at stomach right through pyjamas - after trying lots of brands, we tried tesco own make - purple packet not the green - and he hasnt been wet since. Dont know if a coincidence but been dry last 3 weeks using the purple ones.

fledtoscotland · 11/04/2008 22:22

pampers have always leaked for my DS. we have pretty much always used huggies apart from a few freebies (pampers and morrisons) both of which leaked. huggies seem to contain everything even the runnyiest weaning poos
