Dressing baby girl

I have a 7 week old baby and all I seem to dress her with are either short sleeve vests or long sleeve vests and then a baby grow on top (either the ones with poppers or zip ups).
Then a sleeping bag at night.
Would you recommend any other clothes? Like leggings and socks and tops and dresses? She was born beginning of March and she is now 4.5 kilos, so she is slowly outgrowing the up to 1 month stuff and she is comfortable in the 0-3 stuff.
I am thinking of buying some more 3-6 stuff that's why i was wondering what sort of things to buy.

Aaw congratulations! I have 2 girls! My tips would be stick to leggings/tops or dungaree type all in ones at first. No dresses until they can walk because they just ride up when they're tiny or get tangled in their legs when they crawl. You can get dresses with an integrated vest though which are pretty and practical for summer as long as they're not too long or floaty. Leggings are much better than joggers for baby girls and boys, joggers fall down!
Be aware of dresses that have buttons down the back because they can be uncomfortable for little babies lying on their backs

It's personal choice tbh, but my eldest only really wore grows for first 3 or 4 months as they were the easiest for changing nappy etc, he was also a covid lock down baby so didn't feel the need to dress him up. I have a few outfits for my now 3.5month old but won't put in proper clothes regularly till we go out more at like 6 months I doubt.

I mostly used short/long sleeve body suit with leggings as easy to get on/off to change nappies etc or a dress with leggings if it was cold. Bodysuits stop the t shirt riding up issue. I might do bodysuit then a t shirt or dress if an extra layer was needed.

now she’s potty trained I removed the bodysuit but she still wears the same - t shirt or dress and leggings.

Buy what you like and buy a variety. Only thingbto consider is ease of putting on and taking off ! Enjoy she'll soon be choosing her own clothes !!

I have two girls, my first I bought/was gifted lots of beautiful outfits, dresses, frilly socks, beautiful coats etc and to be honest she hardly wore any of it. She was much happier and comfier in sleepsuits and a cute hand knitted cardie and I ended up selling a lot of it still with tags on.
For my second I just bought a few prettier sleepsuits for during the day (next have some lovely ones) for the first few months and for in the summer she was in short rompers or footless sleepsuits/dungarees. Comfy for baby and easy for me to just Chuck on and go during the day. I didn't bother with little outfits and dresses until she was walking.

I think rompers are the cutest thing ever, the lovely thing is you get to choose. Enjoy!

DT’s just wore babygros until they were about nine months - very practical and they looked so cute!

My baby girl is 3 months and wears mostly sleepsuits. She has worn an 'outfit' 3 times (dress or leggings and top) for family celebrations. That's likely how it'll stay until about 5-6 months based on what I did with my son. Obviously with summer coming she'll have some footless short sleeved rompers and suits.
Sleepsuits are so much easier. Dresses are a bit silly for crawling babies everyday, I see them getting caught up on little ones at toddler groups so often.

I used to like the little leggings with feet and a cute cotton dress or top. Comfy but a bit nicer than rompers.

It's totally individual choice though.
