Baby’s feet too small for shoes! Recommendations?

My 1 year old is walking but no shoes fit. She got measured at Clark’s and she’s not on the chart (she’s probably a size 1 if it existed in Clarks)
her feet are so tiny she’s still in newborn size socks 🤣
they recommend the socks with hard soles but after trying them on in jojo the smallest size is still too big.
any recommendations? I’d like for her to be able to join in with her brother at the park and roam free bless her

Startrite and European brands do smaller. You might need an independent shoe shop. Dd's first pair were Ricosta.

Sockons do a range called mockons
They have leather soles and are technically indoor shoes but i used them for a potter around the playground

@LIZS thank you! Start rite only seem to have size 2 but I’ll check the other one you mentioned!

@GreatGateauxsby thank you I’ll have a look x

We had to use pram shoes with my daughter. I think we got size 3-6 months in next. It just meant we could only let her walk outside if it was dry.

Mine were like this (they still have small feet for their age) - we used Mocc-ons like someone else mentioned until they were big enough for Clarks.

Or to be fair - just sacrificial pairs of baby socks on dry days.

Thanks everyone I think I’ll try and fine some mockons that’s will fit her!

I always worry about glass etc but I guess they would help protect her feet until she can fit in proper shoes x

You can buy stick on leather patches for repairing jacket elbows. Cut down to size they could go on the bottom of baby socks which would give some protection against glass and stones. A glue gun would work too

I had this problem. All my children have tiny feet (no surprise, I'm only a 1.5 myself) and were walking competently outside a very long time before they had feet big enough for Clarks or similar. It is a long time ago (eldest is 26 now) so I don't know what brands are available these days but we found European brands like Elefanten, Ricosta, Petasil etc had smaller shoes. I think it's the norm to put children in proper shoes earlier in some countries so they make smaller ones. As I say, a long time since I was buying shoes for small children but of you can get them those brands make some very nice shoes.

I have the same problem with my DD! She's almost one and started walking about a month ago, but she's so titchy (16lbs! Still fits 6-9 month clothes) that we couldn't get real shoes to fit. I bought her soft soled moccasins and they work for now.

Both mine did lots of outside walking in the inch blue type shoes (they each had a suede soled pair from minifeet, and then the thin rubber sole from inch blue). They don't do actual puddles or seriously wet grass, but they're perfectly fine if it's just a bit damp.
