Hi all.

I am travelling with my 7 month old from the UK to Dublin in a couple of weeks. I have read on the government website I can bring baby food, milk etc. However it does not stipulate if I can bring my baby powder separately through the hand luggage. I will put a tub of his milk in my checked in case. However, I will still need to bring powder to make up bottles whilst we travel. I cant make up the bottle before because the milk he drinks goes funny if prepared for too long. The type of milk he has also does not come in a ready made formula. If anyone has any experience with this please let me know. Thanks in advance ☺️

It doesn't specify because it's not a liquid :) yes it's allowed!

Powdered milk is fine.

Powdered milk is fine, they may open it and test it with it being a powder.

We took pre made bottles of aptamil through security for our little one, much easier than trying to make up bottles in the go.

You can also place an online order for Boots airside to collect after security.

And, if you do use aptamil they have pre measured tabs available so you don't have to measure out scoops - we found them a huge help on holiday

If its a prescription formula make sure you take tins with labels on, and a copy of his prescription to hand just in case.

You can take powders no problem. I found security a breeze with milk, medication and a baby carrier from Dublin to the UK. Dublin Airport ataff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. The same wasn't true if my UK security experience but the milk products were fine!
