Formula storage guidance?

Is it okay to make up formula bottle as per the guidance on the tin (using aptamil advance) and then leaving it to cool on side and then store it at back of fridge for a few hours?
My baby screams murder when hes hungry and sometimes, especially at night demands a feed earlier than expected.

I used a prep machine with both of my boys. Was a life saver. Just made up the pots of scoops, and used the machine and a bottle ready to go in under a minute.

You can do this but you are supposed to rapidly cool the bottle/under cold water and then put it in the fridge. There are guidelines on how to do this.

I'd make and put then straight into the back of the fridge.

They stay fresh for 24h if unopened in the fridge. (2h if opened)

Have you tried a Nuby RapidCool? We found them really good for making drinkable formula fresh and fast.

My LO always liked his milk warm so I found the best way for us was to put the scoops (let’s say 5oz) into the bottle. Add 2/3oz boiling water, mix it and then top up with cooled boiled water I had stored in the fridge. Perfect drinking temp and freshly made.

Basically the same concept as a prep machine but a larger hot shot. I still make them this way now.

I second this. We really struggled initially to feed my little one on time until I got the Rapid Cool which has been a life changer. The hot shot in the prep machines aren't hot enough to kill the bacteria in the formula and isn't portable whereas the rapid cool is.
