Do you ever feel that you’ve made a mistake and mourn the freedom you could have had?

Is it harder being so much older, plus navigating life with a teen at the same time?

I have 4 children 23, 19, 5 and 3, I feel old on the nursery run and some of the mums collecting are the same age as my eldest dd, but I'm much more confident talking with teachers and dealing with school playground mums!

Thanks for sharing. I love the point about being more confident on school run etc!! Do you mind me asking how old you are?

It’s like getting a Christmas present on Boxing Day.

I started again after a large gap . Sometimes I fantasise about what life would be like , eg I could have a sports car now dc1 is old enough to have their own car.

But I don't feel like I miss out . My young dcs add so much to my life . I love their outlook on life.

That’s lovely. Are your little ones boys or girls?

I have both.

No it’s not. I thought it was too late. 17 mc and one stillbirth. Then my lovely DS. I had my DDs 11 and 14 years before.

I don't have advice but I have a set of cousins with roughly this age gap, they've always adored each other and as adults in their 20s they're both still very close.

11 years between my 2. It was like having 3 adults to one child....the eldest (now 21) feels like she is another mother and adores her little sibling. I enjoyed being an older mother so much more as had much more perspective and stopped sweating the small stuff as I knew how precious time is and how it all flashes by....I wouldn't change a thing.

It's a replay. And so much easier because we had done it all with the first two.
In a lot of ways the 3rd feels like raising a single child because the oldest have left home. They adore her.

Wouldn't change a thing.
