Silent reflux?

My baby is 4 weeks old, had their tongue tie snipped one week ago, latches on fine, breastfeeds and puts on weight and wees and poos often.
I also give her formula (Kendamil ready to feed) sometimes in the evening as at around 8 or 9 pm, she seems to cluster feed and want so much milk when I am exhausted and have no milk around then) so her daddy will give her a bottle.
The only problem is she has A LOT of grunting sounds, which has been suggested is sort of like infant dyschezia and normal (?), I am also thinking it might be trapped wind, or silent reflux.
We tried infacol and gripe water, which have not massively helped, my friend also said I should take her to the GP and get her prescribed either omeprazole or gaviscon, I spoke to the GP who said if she is putting on weight, this is just something to 'wait it out' as it will improve at around week 8!
My friend then got angry with the GP and said she doesn't understand why they are not prescribing her something for symptom relief and advised me to speak to a different GP.
What do you mummies think?
I am a first time mum and have no idea what to do!
Everyone is saying their systems are immature and they get better around 2 or 3 months. That sounds like a long way away at the moment, for her mainly but also for us, who haven't slept in the last few days.
When she feeds side lying with me in bed, she seems fine, but as soon as I put her back in her cot, on her back, she starts grunting.
She seems like she is straining for wind or a poo, she arches her back, she moves her legs up and down and she seems in pain!
She will get relief if we pick her up and rock her, and we seem to be holding her most of the day, 24/7, which is nice, but doesn't allow us much rest.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,

did you get to the bottom of this? My little boy is the same. Grunts and strains so much to the point he turns bright red. It is horrible to watch.

thank you!
