Hi
This is driving me mad with my ds.
I am constantly finding puddles of wee all over the bathroom floor.
Its also all over the seat.
I have on occasions forgot to check and sat on a horrible wet seat.

He also seems to struggle with wiping his bottom properly and the toilet is jam packed with tissue.
Also never flushes the toilet.

Anybody else with the samne problem.

lol cadelaide - I've got an un-co-ordinated one too. age 7. always has a semi standing up one, never ever aims it, usually looking around the bathroom and scratching head with both hands wtf?? thought it was just me. Am actually planning a trip out for yet more bathroom floor covering, carpet was years ago and rubbish, had two lots of lino - got a year out of each of those before it started to get the gents public loo aroma, because no matter how i clean, some piddle must always make its way down the front of the bog or the wall.
our very small dd [2.3yrs] always takes a piece of loo paper and wipes the seat before she sits on it - a very wise young lady indeed, it cracks me up when she does it but it must be what i usually do without thinking. well with DH and two DSes we girls have no chance

pmsl just read all the posts (had only read a few before posting mine) OMG it must be in the Males Handbook : One should never ever locate flush technology on toilet.

My ds is only 2.3 and fully trained during the day. His problem is his wee tends to come out of the toilet seat through the gap between the toilet and the seat
Any ideas

Thank god its not just my two! my boys are 7 and 9 and whilst they both do it, the 7 year old is terrible for it! I swear...after he's been to toilet it looks like someone has just chucked a few cups of water over the toilet seat for a laugh.

I go so cross with it in the end that I make him clean it up himself...funny how much care they take when they realise they're the ones cleaning up any mess

My DS1 pulls his pants down first and THEN lifts the seat resulting in it hitting the top of seat as it is lifted - result? It's everywhere.

I caught him doing it and yelled at him so much so that his wee stopped mid flow in fear

I bought those blue balls with a face on but it doesn't help. He looks round the room whilst weeing and therefore is not looking at the blue ball in the toilet anymore.

Re Kandoo wipes etc, yes we have had our drains blocked because of it and DH clears it with a long white plastic pipe left over from when our new bathroom was fitted. It gets air into the blockage and then just clears.

Ds 1 9 and ds2 almost 6 are pretty bad of rth this, ds3 however ( aged3 ) is really good! think he likes to be clean !

Janni - my DSs don't, but only because they sit down on the toilet (no idea why, as they say they use the urinals at school and DH doesn't sit to wee) I'm not that bothered if it's saving me having to clear up puddles of wee

With the toilet flushing thing - mine were all great at remembering to do it until they started school, and then the whole flush/wash hands routine seems to have flown out the window!

Nope - but DH does. Queue GS standing with one hand on his hip and the other wagging a finger at his grandad saying, "if you're going for a wee, do not wee all over the seat and the floor, and if you need to use toilet paper - don't use too much!"

fridayschild · 31/03/2008 21:41

Wendyjayb, my DS2 has the same problem. It's worse when he is busting for a pee I think. You might be able to get him to put one finger on his willy as it pees, to push the flow down, but DS2 has gone off this idea since his brother told him he was getting wee on his hand.
