At a loss with my 14 month old

Prior to this week she slept in her cot for naps and nighttime with a few wake ups.

We have always cuddled her to sleep with no problems.

Now as soon as her body is laid down in the cot she wakes screaming the house down. Really distressed. It’s happening for naps and bedtime. She’s literally refusing sleep.

She is cutting a tooth and a runny nose but otherwise well. Even with calpol etc no help.

Am I going to have to sleep train? I have a 3 year old too so I can hold her for naps. And night time is turning into hours long of screaming. It’s horrific.

Any words of wisdom c

It's probably the tooth and the cold, I would treat these - you might find ibuprofen better for the teeth as it can take the inflammation in the gums down. I would try to ride those out the best you can before deciding to make too many changes and hope it's short lived. My daughter has been a terrible sleeper and the biggest cause of this has been pain due to reflux and allergies but also teeth and general bugs have a similar effect

Did they ever have reflux? My daughter returned worse than ever at 13 months and teething and colds sent it in to overdrive and she didn't sleep for more than 20-40 minutes at a time day or night. She went to 1-2h when they passed and waking 1-3 times once we restarted all of her reflux meds.
