Being an angry mum

Hey! I need some advice on changes I can make/things I can try to not be such an angry mum. i have a 3.5 year old and 2.5 year old and lately I have had no patience for them and been such an angry mum which I hate.

my 3.5 year old has been really challenging lately (have done a separate thread on that!) which is probably the main thing I am snapping at currently, but I am aware that my fuse is probably shorter than it should be and I desperately want to try and not be such an angry mum.

I know a lot of people say you tend to get short when you don’t have enough time to yourself etc but I don’t think this is the case for me- the children generally go to sleep around 7:30pm so I get 2 hours to myself every evening and then 1 child free evening a month

the kids go to nursery 2 days a week whilst I work which definitely helps aswell I think!

please share any words of wisdom/tips, thanks in advance!

I read the thing about when you are about to shout at them or lose your temper, to look at their hands and really see how small they are, so you can understand and empathize what it is like to a small child to have an adult shout at you.
I used to teach reception and it can sometimes be really challenging with overwhelming noise and input so I count to 5, take a deep breath and sometime visualize myself swimming in a deep calm blue swimming pool, the last one really worked for me after practice
