^^ That is what happened last time. I have no option but to take all 3 children again but thankfully only my daughter is having her hair cut so it won't be as long that we are there. The appointment is for 5pm so they will have had their tea. The only way to keep DS2 in his buggy is with food and I will also have my 7 year old with me. I am thinking of taking a book or comic for them to read, any other ideas? It is small salon so the younger one won't be able to run his cars around and he will cause more trouble if strapped in his buggy. There is absolutely no one to have the boys so I will just have to do it.

NAB, why not get someone to come to the house?

3NAB · 27/03/2008 12:27

I don't know how to find someone who will without picking a name out of the book. What if they are no good, what if they can't handle my kids? One stylist was so mean to my daughter at the salon we are going too I would never let her cut her hair or any of our hairs again.

BTW Was the coat any good?

NAB, I do think you need to read a few pages of my well-used 'Lazy Parenting' book (author H. Glossop)

Never take children to hairdressers.

The options are:

let their hair grow but hack at the fringe yourself with the kitchen scissors but ONLY when absolutely necessary ie the child can't see their dinner

Get a hairdresser to come to the house

Nothing else is an option

I do think hairdressers with three kids is just waaaaaaaay too much like hard work

LOL

It was okay. Threatened them with me eating the chocolate easter eggs my friend sent them if they misbehaved. It is their first one, other than mini eggs, so very important. DD now has lovely tidy hair.

HG! I am disappointed. I really thought there was a book called Lazy parenting.

ROFL 3NAB. Believe me if there was, I would have it

Well, I take my hat off to you for achieving a visit to the hairdressers with 3 of them. I never go and I only have one child to deal with!
