How much is the morning after pill cost these days?

Not sure now, but it was £25 a few years back, sorry - no help!

However I went to Boots and the consultation etc, she could see I was a mature woman, it wasn't a regular thing for me so she wsived the fee. That might help!

Waived the fee even.

Bedtime!

You can buy it online a lot cheaper .. try the website Zava. I usually buy before I need it and keep one at home and one at dps. Learnt the hard way as every time we go on holiday the condom seems to bloody split then have to go to pharmacy like a naughty girl that had sex with a random! I think I paid £14 and it’s cheaper than going to pharmacy and delivered to your door!

Superdrug online is £25 / £30 depending on the brand - one is use within 3 days - one is use within 5 days

Thanks everyone for responding, didnt want to risk the wait ordering online but good idea for future use. I went to Boots Pharmacy and asked for the generic brand of levonelle which cost £10

The price has come down in recent years as the "morality tax" that some providers were adding to discourage use was stopped.

I just wanted to flag that most MAP work by stopping ovulation. This means it is only effective if you haven't yet ovulated in this cycle. The biggest risk is around the middle of the cycle as you could have ovulated the day before the unprotected sex in which case there is a possibility of pregnancy and the map won't work for you. If you are around the middle of your cycle please seek further advice about whether the emergency contraception you have taken is appropriate and doesn't solely rely on stopping ovulation to prevent pregnancy.

The coil is the latest acting emergency contraception and can be used up to 5 days after unprotected sex so this is the time frame you have for getting further advice if necessary

Wow I didn't know this, probably something that should be discussed more especially before taking it, i had sex just after my period ended so hopefully im covered as I don't think i had ovulated yet. Definitely going to look at the coil however last time I checked there was a 2 week wait for an appointment
