Tax free childcare for DLA child

Hi there.

my baby has a recognised disability and is in reciept of DLA (middle tier)

They will be starting with a childcare provider in a few months and I have set up their tax free childcare account and included that that do receive DLA.

i understand from Gov UK website that a child getting DLA is entitled to up to £4k per year towards childcare cost.

My question is how does this work in comparison to the “normal” way (80% paid by us, 20% by HMRC).

I have a tax free account got my other child (not disabled) so just wondering if the way I will use it will be different.

thanks for advising to any parents in the same position

Bump for you because I’m in exactly the same position and am very unclear!
