Since Tuesday evening 26mo DS has started walking with his foot turned in?

we’ve went to the doctors who will ring Monday for an update she didn’t seem concerned because he’s not in actual pain he’s not bothered by it

weve just noticed he’s doing it

I’ve stupidly googled it and I’ve seen all sorts about bones etc and I’m worried about his bones as he’s so active he loves walking he normally walks about 0.5 miles a day and wants to walk to nursery when he’s in erc

Has anyone else’s young child randomly done this?? Can anyone reassure me I’m so stressed and worried

ps weve been trying to let him chill a bit the past few days in case he’s strained

It happens. My child's paediatrician told me that if you look at a class of infant kids only about 20% will have straight legs and forward facing feet. He then went on to say that if you look at the same kids 6 months later the stats would be the same but it would be different kids with straight feet and others will have changed which way their feet point /knees bend.

Knock knees, bow legs, turned in and out feet are all part of normal development as muscles don't grow at even rates. Now if you were saying he was in pain or uncomfortable I'd say get him seen. But if he's happy it's one of those things not to stress about.

I used to do childrens biomechanics, we don't worry about intoeing at this age and there is usually no treatment.

Would it have been caused as he’s so active?

like I mentioned as we’ve noticed it Tuesday we’ve tried to get him to calm a bit and he’s already threw a tantrum to go to the park

if we go to the park he’ll want to run riot which is fine , he won’t sit in a buggy

but I’m worried as my mum said his bones are still soft at this age and that he’s too active

could that have turned it in?? And caused this :(

I always thought it was good that he likes to be active
