so my daughter has natural blonde hair and wanted to be Hermione for world book day!
me stupidly bought a “wash in wash out” 4.0 brown dye from SuperDrug I did it tonight and it’s turned her hair (mainly the front root area) bright orange!! I’ve washed it another 3 times and it’s still the same. Absolutely gutted and so is my daughter! How do I correct this pls! If anyone has any tips on how do get rid of the orange I would greatly appreciate it xx

"A Karen"? Come on now, OP. You know that's just unacceptable. 🤨

Blue shampoo will not "strip the colour out"
Nor will vitamin c tablets.
It won't wash out.
Her blonde hair has been stained.
Can you post a pic of what you used?

Sorry, I just saw what you used. The head and shoulders/fairy liquid is honestly the best option. It will lighten over time, just be aware that a lot of colours that claim to be wash out, actually don't. And once you've stained naturally blonde hair like that it can take a long time to recover.
Have you got a before pic?

Her hair was like a dark blonde. I’m actually so upset. Bloody world book day! Really thought it was wash in wash out. Devastated!!

Unfortunately her hair will be stained rather than dyed. I did the same with some wash in wash out dye on my blonde hair when I was young and it took about a year to come out!

Booshbishpa · 07/03/2024 07:14

Oh no a year 😭😭😭😭

It will probably wash out over time with head and shoulders and soaking in coconut oil.

No need to be so upset, as she isn't. It looks fine.

Thank you xx
