Should I be concerned?

My little girl had her first birthday yesterday. She still doesn’t crawl or pull herself up, she doesn’t stand against furniture etc, and when she’s laying down she can’t sit herself back up.
She does get up on her hands and knees often but doesn’t move anywhere, and she can only do this from a laying down position. She does do a sort of army crawl (but only when something she wants is out of reach) .. most of the time she just seems to prefer rolling to where she wants to be. She’ll use her legs to bounce on my lap when I’m holding her, or in her jumperoo.. but as soon as I try to get her to stand on the floor with support she just sits down or lifts her feet away from the ground.
She’s a very happy and content baby, eats and sleeps well, says “mam” and babbles a lot, claps her hands on queue.. she just doesn’t seem to have any interest in crawling or standing. Should I be worried?

Did you have a 9m HV review? (Sometimes closer to a year)

Some babies don't ever crawl and go straight to walking so maybe she doesn't fancy it! I wouldn't be worried yet - I would maybe do some more tummy time etc to encourage that core strength

The other thing which I suppose is a possibility (and the only reason I say it is because a friends little boy was similar) is hypermobility?

Overall I wouldn't be too worried yet as all babies are different but defo speak to your HV or GP if you have concerns

She never had a 9 month review, she will be due a 12 month one soon though. They told me at her last lot of immunisations they wouldn’t be out to see her now until her 12 month review) .. she spends a lot of time on her tummy, has done since she was small although she doesn’t stay on her front anymore, she rolls all over the place. She does seem to have very strong arms and legs, she’s always pushing up on her arms.. and as I said, she does use her legs to bounce around in her jumperoo (she’ll actually stand up straight in there!) and on my lap, and does get up onto all fours multiple times a day and will stay in that position for a few minutes .. she just doesn’t seem to show any interest in moving anywhere. Maybe she’s just lazy, I hope that’s the case anyway lol.. but I will speak to her HV at her review. Thank you for taking the tome to reply 😊

None of my 3 DC moved at that age. DS got up and walked at 22 months, my DD's began to crawl at 14ish months and walked between 18 and 19 months. They weren't lazy but they were content.
Were you/your sibs late walkers? My whole family are.
Overall DC talked early (and were potty trained) so I think they were interested in that more than being mobile.

Mine was a very late crawler. Excellent bum shuffler though. Only just crawling by her first birthday and walking a couple of months later.
Some babies have good fine motor skills first and learn the big motor skills later - others are the other way round.
I wouldn't worry but speak to your HV if you have concerns.
