Excessive dribble 2 year old/ low oral tone?

DS ( 24 months) has always dribbled a lot. He is now 2 and has oceans of dribble, and his tongue is almost always loose in his mouth. Speech therapist (Dysphagia) doesn't think he has low muscle tone and describes his tongue tone as good. (via seeing a video I took of him, not in person) trouble is I don't think anyone appreciates how much he dribbles. I believe his tongue position is what affects his speech.

  • had laryngomalacia as a baby which has resolved
  • under ENT who are investigating potential glue ear.
  • tongue tie snipped twice as newborn
  • under SALT (Dysphagia) since 5 months. feeding and swallowing all normal now. Videoflueroscopy last summer showed no abnormalities.

He has been referred to salt for communication delay so waiting to hear from them.

Anyone been in a similar position or have any advice on what I can do whilst I wait to hear from SALT. He seems young for speech therapy, I can't quite envisage what they will suggest.
