Woke up to find breast pump parts wet still and dried with toilet roll(unopened one). Am I being paranoid to worry?
Also silicone part smells of washing up liquid and worry some may get into milk.
Fed up of anxiety looking after newborn!

It won't be sterile but how much of an issue that is is a personal choice

Maybe the guidance has changed, but breast pump parts don't need sterilising, just a good was every 24 hours in hot soapy water (and can be popped I a zip lock bag in the fridge between uses without a wash between times)
Your baby will let you know if the milk is tainted with the flavour of the washing up liquid.
Yea, it can be worrying and exhausting, you are doing great.

You don’t need to sterilise anything that you use with breastmilk alone - it is antibacterial itself. So just wash with hot water and soap (and give it a good rinse!)

Also you only need to wash your pump once a day - keep it in the fridge the rest of the time. Saves so much time!

You only need to sterilise bottles used for formula because it can contain very harmful bacteria if it’s not cleaned properly.
