Almost 15mo

Almost 15mo. He is developing so well - doing really well talking, interacting, playing..
not yet walking but no rush right.

is this a common time for a super clingy baby?
I’ve gone back to work, I wfh most days and I’m around for him should he need me. I go into the office 1-2 times a week. He’s fine without me EXCEPT for nap time.

previously, he would easily fall asleep with my DH or mom, brothe, dad. But the last 1.5 months he will not sleep with ANYONE. He screams and cries so much.

he does need assistance to sleep - always has. Bit of a Velcro baby in the early months.

we’ve dropped the later nap and so he’s on one nap a day.

my worry here is that without the nap he will be cranky, fall asleep on me later (meaning later bedtime), etc.

is it normal, how long does it last?
I can’t do every nap.. because I have to go into work 😫

Who looks after him now and how are they trying to get him to nap?

I have a 15mo if I am about he won't nap, but he goes off to his grandparents whilst I work and sleeps absolutely fine. I wonder if him knowing you are around could be an issue?
The same if we go visit my parents for the day because I am there he doesn't let my mum put him down for a nap but she swears the two days she has him he naps really easily.

Do you have the same issue on the days you are in the office?

I have to agree it is prime Velcro baby time I can't do anything without him pulling at my legs wanting to he held.

Ok so we were lucky enough to have DGP look after our DC but they did it in their own homes.

They struggled to get DS to sleep, especially at that age. If he was being particularly resistant one of them would take him out in the pram.

My 15mo is really tough at the moment. Since 6mo we've been in and out of her self settling to sleep. We started her in nursery at 12mo but it didn't go well to say the least, so we've now got a nanny at home (who also does after school care for DS1 so it has made life simpler).
DD is just starting to settle to sleep with the nanny, it's on and off with teething/colds.
The nanny says that with other babies/toddlers she's looked after she has sometimes put the to sleep in a pram and they sit in a dar living room/hallway so could something like that work?
