Sleeping arrangements WWYD?

So when we eventually move in May SD will get her own room and Hannah will share with Katie. And we'll finally get our bedroom back. But here's the dilemma Katie normally ends up in SD's bed during the night and if SD isn't here either DH or I end up sleeping in her bed with her. She can't sleep alone. Same problem with Hannah we co-sleep atm and she won't sleep in the bed on her own,she has to feel one of next to her and she always has her hand on my head or arm.

So I thought when they share a room I would get a double bed instead of 2 singles and they could share a bed and hopefully be ok because they are sleeping together. I would put guard rails on either side of the bed. What do you think? Is it a stupid idea?

Katie is nearly 5 and Hannah is 18 months.

I'd let the dd's share a bed, especially if they actually slept & didn't just mess about!!

why don't you get one of those hideaway beds .. a single bed with one folded underneath that you can roll out and make into a double

then you can set it up as a double .. and you can dress each side separately (in case of bedwetting) and when they want singles you just separate them for trial

M&S do great ones

Twiglett that is a genius idea!

My mum shared a bed with her sister until they were 16ish... it can work
