I'm sure it is normal but i feel a bit sad in a way that my ds can just ignore me. He's 2yrs old and i know it's probably a good sign that he trusts other adults and enjoys playing with them.

Is it me being over sensitive because i'm pregnant/a phase or would you suggest i do something?

I do appreciate the rest sometimes but not to the extent of being made redundant

They are a novelty - he doesn't see them all the time like he does you.

Relax and enjoy it. As long as they love him and aren't going to hurt him, what's the worst that can happen?

It doesn't mean he doesn't need or want you ... I'll bet it's you he comes running to if he hurts himself while they are there.

Thanks WWB, he does still come to me when he's hurt.

I'll try and relax and enjoy it but when it comes to my inl's i find it more difficult, i guess i'll just have to try and remember what you've said

I ADORE having a family member around to occupy my three year old! Trust me, when the baby comes you will be SO grateful to have someone other than you to whom your DS is so attached!
He sounds like a lovely, healthy little boy. Enjoy!

For me, this is VERY normal

I am completely out of the picture when at the GPs

I think it's great, on the whole. Am glad the dds have the same relationship with their GPs that I did with mine

It's great that I know the dds feel absolutely at ease with them (both sets, btw)

Gets a bit tricky when dd1 decides to kick-off and requires 'intervention' (because my efforts fall to the floor BIGTIME)

But, hey-ho, that's kids for you!

Congratulations re the baby, btw!
