Center Parcs Questions ...

Hello and Happy Easter!

I've just been looking at the Center Parcs site and am wondering which lodge to go for ... the basic one is £949 whilst the Exec one is still on £1029. Is it worth paying the extra - clearly we'll be spending quite a bit of time in it and I want my home comforts. There's nothing worse than going away and feeling like I'm roughing it!!

Can anyone help with discount codes? There are some on ebay for 99p, would it be worth bidding?

TIA!

my god it's expensive.

you could go abroad for that.

I don't like going abroad! x

I would go more on the location. If the exec was a long way from where you are going to be spending most of your time then I would go for the basic. If there isn't much in it, go for the exec. If you are spending that much anyway another £80 isn't going to break the bank!!

Depends on what you want to do whilst there. The basic one does not have a dishwasher, and that was important to me - I like to know my things are clean!

But look at locations - for example, at Longleat all of teh comfort plus are on the outside of the ring - so the first time we went comfort plus, the second time we just went comfort (and took our own cutlery / ate out) because it was that much more central.

We're off this May and are going to the new woodland lodges, they're reasonably central and have got proper beds in - I'd pay the extra for that!

do a google search for 'center parcs voucher codes' or 'center parcs discounts' and just try the codes there. We got 40% off our January break using one of those!

Thanks, hadn't thought about location at all, good job I asked!

When you say 'proper beds' I assumed they all had proper beds!!! What do they have then? Yes I want a dishwasher too ... no way I'm washing up when I don't have to at home.

Where are the Woodland Lodges?

If you stay in the comfort / comfort plus lodges then the beds have no base to them - they're just on a metal frame (like the sort you get at Butlins and otehr such places). They're okay but not the most comfortable. Whereas the new woodland lodges are advertised as having 'new sealy beds'!

The woodland lodges are new this year, so we paid the extra for one of those.. don't know what they're like yet, but we figured as it was one of main holidays this year it was worth paying the extra £80 or so.

We're going to Elvedon for our break, and our lodge is in the middle ring. You can pay a bit extra to actually select which lodge you want to stay in - and I would recommend doing that, if you download a map of the village, it will actually give you all the chalet numbers and so you can select the exact chalet - so then you can guarantee getting the chalet you want. You can also phone up centre parcs and actually get them to tell you the available chalets (that's what we did) and then choose where you want to stay.

Thanks Elkat - not likign the sound of those beds at all!! Soooo glad I've found out.

Woodland Lodges looks like the favourite option doesn't it with specifying by phone preferable!

cheers
