Nappy advice 10 month old

Wondering if anyone can advise as never had this issue with my first! Sorry not the nicest of topics 💩

Every dirty nappy that my 10 month old does comes out the top of the back of the nappy, so I am forever having to change clothes/soak/wash/etc! It's normal consistency not runny or anything so I'm at a loss as to why! This has been going on for nearly 2 months.

I use aldi nappy pants and I have tried sizing up (usually a size 4 but tried size 5s too). This just happens every time. He never leaks wee at all from either size.

Wondering if I should just go back to pampers as they have the extra protect thing at the back? But they are so expensive! Or if anyone has any advice?!

Try Tesco's Rascals brand, I think they have the stretchy back. I used Asda which USED to have it, but they don't anymore 😭

You never get escaped poos with cloth nappies. I know they aren't for everyone but they did such a good job of containing my daughters explosions we didn't realise her poos were as vast and loose as they were prior to going dairy free. If full cloth isn't your thing the wraps can make a good secondary barrier to a disposable nappy.

Sainsburys have the stretchy back in their normal range - I find they come up smaller though so size up!

I have this issue with my little girl too, although her stools have always been on the looser side which doesn't help!

I would also maybe try sizing up on the vest too as if it's slightly too small it can squish the nappy

Pampers all the way, always keeps it in

@Superscientist thanks - cloth nappies aren't for me, but I appreciate you taking the time to answer.

@febbabies2023 interesting I will check Sainsbury’s out thank you. We have just gone up to the next size clothes so the vests are big rather than small!

@fairymary87 I used them with my first and had a lot less explosions! It's just a shame they are so expensive 😂

Aldi nappies always leak on my little girl but Sainsbury's generally keep everything in and are price matched to Aldi. She has a pampers on for night time.

Is there any particular reason why you use the nappy pants rather than nappies at only 10 months old? DC is 18 months and in Aldi nappies, never had any issues other than in the early days of breastfed poos that would have exploded out of anything!

Nappies are usually better than nappy pants because you can adjust them to the exact size of your baby. Nappy pants are stretchier so you can pull them on but that means they are looser and move around more.
