Hi everyone, looking for some advice on how to handle a family who are planning to go ahead with their kid's party even though a sibling has v&d (and not been clear for 48 hours). Sibling is due to attend. Even if I pull my kid out, they might still get it from their classmates the following day, in school. I’ve missed every opportunity so far to drop hints to the family (been chicken!), I don’t want to expose them to the wider community, I feel stuck. I’m thinking to instruct my kid to be extra careful, to ask the school to send a general reminder about v&d NHS 48 hours advice (but that will happen post event now), and/or to just not take my kid there as the safest bet. But is there a nice way to put it to the family that they should not go ahead with the party? No other guests know…

Don't take your kid to the party.
