Likelihood of norovirus

Just to pre empt any bug coming my way, a child has been sick in my daughter's nursery room so I'm going to pick her up now while they've taken them out in the garden before she goes back in for lunch. How likely is it that she'll get it or is it impossible to know?
I'm currently pregnant and have had a scary bleed which I'm still recovering from so could really do with avoiding it 😅

Impossible to know

Nurseries are usually germ soup - surfaces are usually cleaned pretty well, but of course the DC touch each other. But noro is only contagious from around the onset of symptoms. So unless your DC has had direct contact with the afflicted one this morning, you may well get away with it.

But if the D&V is caused by another pathogen - eg covid - which is infectious before symptoms, then yes it could well have been spread around (especially as it's airborne, so surface cleaning isn't a complete solution)

If the child was only sick once then it may not be a bug at all, they could have gagged on some food or a toy maybe?
Just be scrupulous with hygiene and wipe down toys)surfaces I guess.

Thanks both, there has been a sick bug doing the rounds in my area and I asked nursery to call me as soon as they had a case so I could pick her up. Hopefully like you say it's not noro and something else, will shove her in the bath and hot wash the clothes and then can just wait I suppose.
Wonder if the Dr will prescribe me anti vomit meds if it is 🤣
