Send home ulcer?

My daughter had a high temperature Friday it didn’t go below 38 all day didnt send her to nursery ( kept on top on it with calpol and nurofen ) Saturday she only had to have nurofen morning and night and same again yesterday and today (temp only got as high as 38 and come down quite fast) with this she’s been completely happy in her self laughing playing just got a runny nose and cough so unsure what it is.
Yesterday she went off her food and was whining every time she went to eat then today we saw she’s got one ulcer in her mouth I’ll post the best picture I’ve got. She’s trying to eat more today but does cry every time she catches it.
Will nursery have her tomorrow?? cause she’s got an ulcer and whingy with her food (it’s not hfm because she hasn’t got anymore and none on her feet/hands/anywhere) I think it’s just because she’s been bit poorly
Obviously if she wakes up with a temperature I won’t send her but I’m more worried about them sending her home because of her ulcer or am I just being paranoid 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

They won't send her home because of an ulcer

She'll hopefully be distracted at nursery playing etc

Mouth ulcers are extremely painful. Poor little thing. You should get her some of the numbing gel for it, it's the only thing that helps me when I get them. She'll struggle to eat at nursery and will be feeling a bit miserable because of it so they may send her home because of that, but not because a mouth ulcer is contagious to the other children or anything like that (because they're not).

If your child has a temperature that calpol or nurofen alone cannot control the current guidance is to see a GP. It's no longer advised to give Calpol and nurofen together unless advised to do so by GP.
