Baby doesn’t like carrycot or pushchair, only likes car seat!

My DD is nearly 6 months and since she was born she never liked to travel on her carrycot/bassinet attached to her pram. We’ve tried for very long but she would just cry and cry and we used to end up carrying her and returning home.
We then tried to attach the car seat to the pram and she was much happier being on it. I know babies shouldn’t be on a car seat for longer than 2 hours so I would carry her on a baby carrier most of the time and use the car seat as last resort.
A month ago I’ve started having a lot of back pain so I had to use the car seat more (usually 2 hours a day during the week and weekends perhaps 2/3 hours with a break).
I’m really scared/worried about the impact this might have on her posture/development and obviously the increase risk of SIDS when babies are on car seat.
As she is nearly 6 months we’ve started using her pushchair now and we’ve tried all the reclining positions but she doesn’t seem comfortable or happy. She seems a bit small still for the pushchair, even though it can be used from birth on the lowest recline level.
It seems as she prefers to be seating rather than lying down and she likes to be snug in the car seat rather than having space to move around (carrycot, pushchair).
We are going on our first holiday soon and we will be doing a lot of walking around and I’m just driving myself crazy because she might be on her car seat for many hours (with breaks) as we will be driving around and then walking with the pushchair with the car seat attached.
I really don’t know what to do. Anyone went through the same and has any suggestions?
Is she going to have back/posture problems for being on the car seat for long even with breaks in between?

My dd hated the carry cot. I spoke with my hv who said it was important for her to lie flat when sleeping but if she was awake then I could put a little cushion in to prop her up a bit. I ended up changing to the proper pram seat when she was 4 months because she was bored of the carry cot. I would lie her flat when sleeping but for just being out and about then she’d be slightly upright so she could have a nosey and look around.
It didn’t do her any harm as she faced towards me so I could see she had clear air flow and was able to support her head so wasn’t flopping forward etc
At first I had quite a cosy footmuff for my dd so it fit her a bit more snug like rather than her having space to sprawl around.
Could you try a cheaper/ small push chair which has more of an upright seated position?

My son wouldn’t tolerate the carrycot either but he had reflux so was probably very uncomfortable . He was happy in a sling though. Weaning improved his reflux and he started to tolerate being sat up in the pushchair sometimes.

By 6 months most babies do prefer to be in a supported seated position looking about. By this age I really wouldn't worry, especially if she's supervised.

Or could you try the pushchair on the 'sitting up' setting and maybe put some blankets around her so she feels more snug?

This is fine don't worry. It's a problem for their posture if they are in the seat all day every day. As long as she has some time every day to play and roll around on the floor, in your lap etc this is fine.

It's when people use the car seat constantly all the time it's a problem. Not a few hours every day with breaks or a one off trip where you're travelling most of the day.
