Baby hasn’t peed all night

Might be a silly question but I’m a FTM

Son is almost 20 months old and last Saturday night and last night he hasn’t peed all night. He has milk (between 200-300ml) before going to sleep and using pampers nappies where a line comes up if it’s wet but no line has come up and nappy is all dry. He passes urine normally during the day. Should I be concerned? Shall I call GP or is this normal?

Thank you in advance.

20 months? Completely normal.

That’s great. My DS is almost 3 and I’m still waiting for him not to wee overnight.

It might be a one off or he might start doing it more often.

It’s nothing to worry about, and if it’s consistent it will make potty training easier when you come to it because you can get rid of nappies completely instead of still using them overnight.

Thank you for the replies @DuploTrain and @Magenta82 👍🏻

My daughter was dry at night for a long time before being dry during the day. It will just make things a lot easier when it comes to potty training! As long as passing a big pee in the morning and normally during the day absolutely nothing to be worried about.

My DD is 4 and still does massive wees during the night. I wish she was dry. I'm very hesitant to do overnights nappy-free, even though I know I should.

As long as your DS is having a good wee in the morning, or throughout the day, I don't think there's anything to be concerned about!

It’s on the earlier side but at 20 months it’s very possible that he’s started producing the hormone that helps them stay dry at night. I wouldn’t worry so long as everything during the day is normal!

@gardenfoundry why’should’ You? My eldest is 7 and isn’t dry at night; youngest is 3 and has been night dry since toilet training 6 months ago. They’re all different and there are no ‘shoulds’ here; she’s not doing it on purpose
