Generous waistbands for chubby babies?!

My one year old is a lovely chubby squish - can any other parents of fat babies recommend where to buy clothes from?!

In particular I'm struggling with tights, she looks so sweet in dresses but I bought some 18-24mth tights in the hope they'd be okay and even those are a squeeze. I'm not keen on dungerees because I always find the poppers spring open when kids are playing.

Dungarees are the only solution for this ime! If they are popping open, the size is too small snd you need a bigger size.

One thing I decided was not to get fussed about the number on the sizing - my dd is average on weight charts but has a long body so always needed dungarees in a way bigger size. Just ignore the number and get what fits

Zara do nice knitted dungarees and leggings for babies and toddlers.
At 1 year I always upsized about bought Ds 18-24 months as he was long and wore reusable nappies so bigger bum.

Not a recommendation but really avoid Sainsbury's clothing as they are so narrow in the waist. H&M i had the same issue.
Similar to pp, going up a size and rolling up the length on the leg is a good option. Tights, I would actually suggest vinted as they've been stretched out already, they can really vary in size as well!
Next I found pretty good on the waist size, also nutmeg

Dungarees - or cut the waist bands of tights.

Dungarees, the ones without poppers anywhere. Just slip over the shoulders and down again for easy nappy changes.

My almost 15 month old is fine in 12-18 months but I have an issue with some waistbands being tight so tend to avoid leggings and top sets from most brands. But I do find Next seem to be sized well and h&m, she still in a 9-12 h&m outfit and it has an extendable waist
I also like the joules lively leggings, 1-2 is very stretchy. JoJo ones no chance could she get her legs in! Sainsbury's tights are fine, Tesco's are tight
