At that age you don't really need anything to be honest! A few toys and request the bassinet if available on your flight. Take a big muslin to line it.

Bottle to suck on take off and landing to help ears
Sterilising tablets and bags
Buy a little boat to bath in if you just have a shower

A snooze zip up for the pram to keep the sun off

We took ds to Turkey when he was 6 months old (5 months corrected). He handled the flights really well. We overpacked his clothes and didn’t pack enough short rompers.

We didn’t take a bath, there was only a shower so I laid him on the shower floor and used warm water in a bottle from the shower to bathe him. It worked fine. We took his own shampoo though.

We packed his playmat and a few favourite toys. It was his go-to for playing and some daytime naps if we are at home. So we set it up in the hotel room and it was great. We did that going to the Lake District too. He had fun in the air con room having a break from the heat.

Oh if your dc has any soothers then take multiple. Our ds has a teething toy that is like a dummy but he holds it himself. We lost it one day and luckily we had a second with us. They didn’t have any replacements out there because it’s not like a dummy.

Milton cold water tablets are probably the easiest. Make sure your room will have a kettle if you are taking powdered formula. Easiest ia to take the ready made formula cartons

Alwaystired2023 · 05/01/2024 16:39

Or a microwave steriliser if you are staying somewhere with a microwave / access to one?

Mumaway · 05/01/2024 16:39

We packed all our baby stuff into a 5L Tupperware, that then became our Milton sterilising box on holiday. Worked well.

we're going to Morocco so i'm guessing we should have a kettle in the room, is it worth buying the milton or should i just buy a tub from b&m and use that with the tablets?

We bought a very small inflatable boat to play with.

Used it to ‘sail’ the little one in the sea/pool, as a small paddling pool with some spoons/bottles for water play and as a safe play pen on the balcony/beside a sunbed, next to the pool in the shade.

Kept them safe when they were ‘wobbly, sitting’.
