12 month old refusing sippy cup

Hey 👋
I have 2 linked issues, my 12 month old is still very reliant on milk feeds in the day and she refuses to drink from anything but a teated bottle, she could easily have 7oz 4x per day including morning and bedtime. They say they don't need milk feeds but even with 3 meals and 2 snacks, if she doesn't have at least 2 milk feeds in the day she gets mad and screams at some point usually after nap time and the only thing that helps is a milk feed. She drinks water from any other cup, we have loads of different cups, she likes straw ones the best but she acts personally offended and disgusted if I put milk in it.
She starts with a childminder soon as I'm going back to work and ideally I want her just sipping milk from a tippy cup or something in the day rather than milk feeds.
Any advise for a stubborn baby?

TIA

My little one started dropping feeds after 12 months when she started eating more in her meals and in between. I would give her a little snack and started to give her less milk with each meal/ snack.
She still liked her bottle until she was around 14/15 months when one day out of the blue she stayed to drink from her sippy cup instead. She didn’t like
the hard sippy cups but instead preferred one with a soft straw.
I would offer both a bottle and a little cup and just go at her speed.

i think 2 bottles of milk is fine, mine were still having a bottle or 2 of milk at a year old.

I was like you, waiting for DS to be better with drinks especially before daring to remove a bottle. My childminder recommended just removing one bottle at a time. It was a leap of faith but worked because DS was then hungrier and thirstier.

I removed his middle of the day bottle 1st on a day he'd had a great breakfast and lunch and just kept him busy. I waited about 3 weeks before removing his morning one and again just kept him busy with plenty good food and drinks on offer. At 15mo, we've still to remove the 7pm bottle though... But for us, it's one slow step at a time! He's definitely now drinking more and eating more.
